While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

WHO: Gaza children are dying from starvation

Saturday 31-May-2025

GENEVA, (PIC)

The regional director of the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that Gaza children are dying from hunger as famine has reached extremely high levels due to the stifling Israeli blockade.

In a recent interview with Anadolu news agency, WHO regional director 'Hanan Balkhi said that “deaths among both adults and children have become increasingly common due to shortages of food and medicine in Gaza.”

Balkhi pointed out that Gaza’s vital health infrastructure has been completely destroyed, adding that personal and public hygiene is also absent in Gaza and civilian live in extremely difficult sanitary conditions.

“The healthcare sector has collapsed, with only a few hospitals providing partial or limited services. There is a real shortage of resources,” she said.

UNRWA: Aid being sent makes mockery of mass tragedy in Gaza

Saturday 31-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini has stressed the need for political will to stop “the current mass starvation” in the Gaza Strip.

“We are not asking for the impossible. Allow the UN including UNRWA and humanitarian partners to do our work: assist people in need and preserving their dignity,” Lazzarini said in social media remarks on Friday.

“We are back to the blaming game while the people of Gaza are starving and trying to survive heavy bombardments,” Lazzarini added.

“There are reports that 900 trucks were sent in the past two weeks. That’s just over 10 percent of the daily needs of people in Gaza. The aid that’s being sent now makes a mockery to the mass tragedy unfolding under our watch,” the UNRWA chief highlighted.

“During the ceasefire earlier this year, when bureaucratic and security restrictions were lifted by political will, the UN including UNRWA brought in 600 to 800 trucks a day. No diversion of aid was reported. This is how we collectively turned the tide and prevented a man-made famine,” he said.

UN: Catastrophic situation in Gaza is the worst since Israel’s genocide started

Saturday 31-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The UN has said that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached its most “catastrophic” level since the start of Israeli military operations, with ongoing strikes, mass displacement, and severe aid restrictions.

Citing the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told a news conference on Friday that “the catastrophic situation in Gaza is the worst it has been” since Israel started its military assault in October 2023.

Dujarric said Israeli strikes have intensified across the coastal enclave, particularly in northern Gaza, where Al-Awda Hospital — the last partially functioning hospital in the area — was forced to evacuate following repeated attacks.

“Displacement continued across Gaza, with nearly 200,000 people displaced in the last two weeks alone,” Dujarric said, adding that renewed Israeli displacement campaign now covers around 30 percent of Gaza’s territory.

Many civilians are also moving “driven by the search for food and necessities, rather than displacement orders,” according to Dujarric.

The spokesman affirmed that the need for humanitarian aid reached “unprecedented levels” after more than 80 days of almost complete Israeli blockade on aid deliveries.

He added that the limited quantities of aid currently allowed into the Gaza Strip are “woefully insufficient” to support the 2.1 million people in desperate need of life-saving assistance.

After national consultations, 'Hamas delivers its response to Witkoff’s latest proposal

Saturday 31-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas announced on Saturday that it has submitted its response to US envoy Steve Witkoff’s latest proposal to mediators, “following a round of national consultations and out of a sense of responsibility towards our people and their suffering.”

It added, “The response aims to achieve a permanent ceasefire, a comprehensive withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and a guarantee on the uninterrupted flow of aid to our people in the Strip.”

'Hamas said in a statement, “Under this agreement, ten prisoners held by the resistance will be released, in addition to the handover of eighteen bodies, in exchange for an agreed upon number of Palestinian prisoners.”

The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority quoted an unnamed senior Israeli source as saying that Tel Aviv had received the US proposal on Wednesday evening.

It said the proposal included the release of ten living Israeli prisoners, along with the handover of the bodies of ten others, in two batches, in exchange for a temporary 60-day ceasefire.

'Hamas had previously said that it had received the new Witkoff proposal from the mediators and was studying it responsibly, “in a way that serves the interests of our people and achieves a permanent ceasefire.”

The Israeli website Walla quoted another senior Israeli official as saying that the new proposal is more favorable to Israel than previous proposals and does not include clear US guarantees for a permanent ceasefire.

The website added that the new proposal lacks firm US guarantees for a lasting ceasefire once negotiations extend beyond the initial 60-day period.

'Hamas said it had reached an agreement on a general framework with Witkoff that would achieve a permanent ceasefire and a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

'Hamas added that the agreement includes the flow of aid and the establishment of a professional committee to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip immediately after the announcement of the agreement.

Khuza’a declared disaster zone after total destruction by Israeli genocide

Saturday 31-May-2025

KHAN YUNIS, (PIC)

The municipality of Khuza’a, located east of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip, has declared the town a disaster area following its complete destruction by the Israeli occupation army. Continuous and direct bombardment has obliterated the town, affecting every aspect of life and rendering it entirely uninhabitable.

In a press statement released Saturday, the municipality confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have razed all homes, with health and educational facilities totally destroyed and out of service.

The statement added that roads and essential infrastructure have also been demolished, and residents were forced to flee under intense bombardment and gunfire by the IOF.

Municipal officials emphasized that the destruction of Khuza’a constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and represents a continuing war crime. They noted that the scale of devastation exceeds all prior estimates, leaving the town completely nonfunctional.

“The people of Khuza’a have been forcibly displaced from their homes and are now scattered across various areas, living under catastrophic humanitarian conditions that worsen daily,” the statement said.

On Friday, aerial imagery—captured by the IOF—showed the complete leveling of Khuza’a, including its homes, roads, and farmland, confirming the town’s total destruction due to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

IOFs deliberately ram bus of Palestinian pilgrims in Jineen

Saturday 31-May-2025

Jineen, (PIC)

A vehicle for the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) deliberately rammed a bus carrying Palestinian pilgrims in the West Bank city of Jineen at dawn Saturday, in what local officials condemned as a targeted act of intimidation.

A video circulating online shows an Israeli military vehicle deliberately crashing into a bus that was transporting pilgrims from Jenin’s main square to the city of Aree'ha (Jericho). The group was en route to Saudi Arabia via the Jordanian Karama crossing to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The bus sustained damage in the attack, though no injuries were reported.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Mansour Al-Sa'di, deputy governor of Jineen, stated that the IOFs intentionally rammed the bus while it was parking in front of the Jineen governorate square. The passengers were primarily elderly individuals, many of whom suffering from chronic illnesses, and included family members of martyrs and the wounded.

The bus was part of a larger convoy transporting 376 pilgrims from the Jineen governorate to Makkah for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack farmers in Sa'ir; occupation forces detain Palestinian trying to defend them

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), May 31, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the armed illegal Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian farmers on Saturday while they were tending their land in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of Al-Khaleel (Hebron). Israeli occupation forces, who arrived to protect the attackers, detained a young Palestinian man who attempted to defend the farmers.

WAFA correspondent reported that the colonists attacked farmers in the Al-Tuffouf area of Sa'ir. Instead of intervening, the occupation forces detained Jihad Al-Shalalda during his attempt to push back the colonists.

The incident reflects an increasingly systematic pattern of colonist aggression against Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank—often carried out with the active backing or passive consent of Israeli forces, particularly in areas under threat of land confiscation or forced displacement.

Arab-Islamic ministerial delegation postpones Ramallah visit after Israeli obstruction

AMMAN, May 31, 2025 (WAFA) –

A high-profile delegation from the ministerial committee formed during the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit on Gaza has postponed its planned visit to Ramallah after Israel denied their access into the occupied West Bank.

According to a statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, members of the committee arrived in Amman on Saturday evening for a coordination meeting ahead of their scheduled visit to the Palestinian city. However, the trip was delayed due to Israeli obstruction.

The delegation includes Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Far'han Al Sa'oud, Ba'hraini Foreign Minister Abdul Lateef bin Rashid Al Zayani, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr 'Abdul 'Aaty, Arab League Secretary-General, A'hmed Abul Ghait, and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Al-Safadi.

In a joint statement, the delegation condemned Israel’s decision to block the visit, calling it a blatant violation of its obligations as an occupying power. The ministers said the move reflects the Israeli government's arrogance, disregard for international law, and ongoing illegal actions aimed at isolating the Palestinian people and leadership.

The statement also reaffirmed the delegation's commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and stressed that such Israeli actions undermine prospects for a just and comprehensive peace.

Israel blocks Arab foreign ministers meeting in Ramallah to discuss genocide, two-state solution

Saturday 31-May-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

Israeli occupation authorities have decided to prevent the foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan from reaching Ramallah to attend a meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday. The meeting was intended to discuss the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip and to prepare for the New York conference on the two-state solution.

Officials in the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that “the Palestinian Authority, which still refuses to condemn the October 7, 2023 attack, was planning to host a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Ramallah to discuss advancing the establishment of a Palestinian state.”

They claimed that “such a Palestinian state would inevitably become a terrorist state in the heart of Israel. Israel will not cooperate with any moves aimed at harming it and its security. The Palestinian Authority must stop violating its agreements with Israel on all levels.”

A 'senior Palestinian official said that an Arab ministerial delegation was scheduled to visit Ramallah on Sunday to discuss the ongoing Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and to prepare for the New York conference on the two-state solution.

Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), said earlier on Friday that “a delegation of foreign ministers from several Arab countries will arrive in the city of Ramallah next Sunday.”

The delegation includes Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Far'han Al Sa'oud, Ba'hraini Foreign Minister Abdul Lateef bin Rashid Al Zayani, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr 'Abdul 'Aaty, Arab League Secretary-General, A'hmed Abul Ghait, and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Al-Safadi, Qatari Foreign Minister, Mu'hammed bin Abdul Ra'hman Al -Thani, and Emirati Foreign Minister, 'Abdullah bin Zayid. Majdalani also noted that there was a possibility of Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, joining the delegation.

He said that the visit of the ministerial committee, formed during the Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh and headed by the Saudi Foreign Minister, had been planned months ago but was postponed at the time.

Saudi Arabia and France are jointly chairing the “high-level international conference for a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and implementation of the two-state solution,” which is scheduled to be held in New York City, USA, from June 17 to 20, according to the United Nations website.

The Gaza Strip has been suffering from a catastrophic humanitarian and relief crisis since Israel closed the border crossings on March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, aid, and fuel, while its army intensifies the genocide it is committing against the residents of the Strip.

World Food Programme: Ceasefire the only way to ensure food and aid reach Gaza

ROME, May 31, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) said on Saturday that a ceasefire in Gaza is the only viable path to ensure the safe delivery of food and humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.

In a statement published on X, the WFP emphasized that it has enough food stockpiled to feed all 2.2 million people in Gaza for two months, but without a cessation of hostilities, it cannot be distributed safely.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is rapidly deteriorating due to Israel’s severe blockade, the statement said. It added that nearly 80 days of complete siege, the people of Gaza are starving and can no longer bear to see food pass by without reaching them.

The WFP stressed the urgent need for large-scale, consistent delivery of food aid and called for safer, more reliable access routes for humanitarian convoys. The organization also urged for faster permit approvals and the opening of additional border crossings to facilitate the flow of life-saving supplies.

WFP halts Gaza aid deliveries as famine deepens and IOFs blockade fuels chaos

Saturday 31-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has suspended operations in the Gaza Strip, citing the absence of a ceasefire and the lack of security guarantees for humanitarian workers, as famine continues to spread among Gaza’s population of over 2.3 million.

The WFP has temporarily terminated the contract of 77 commercial truck drivers after incidents of theft, looting, and escalating lawlessness disrupted relief efforts. According to local reports, armed gangs have been targeting aid convoys and storage facilities, stealing truck parts, food supplies, fuel, and equipment essential to humanitarian operations.

Truck drivers told Palestine Online that the disruption began after Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) resumed their genocidal assault on the Strip, reneging on a brief ceasefire that lasted from January 19 to March 2. During that period, the WFP had brought in newly equipped trucks, many of which have since been vandalized or stripped for parts.

In recent weeks, warehouses storing flour and nutritional supplements have been looted, and program-critical infrastructure—such as trucks and generators—have been damaged or stolen. The situation has deteriorated further due to repeated Israeli attacks on local police forces, leaving humanitarian convoys vulnerable to looters and criminal gangs operating with impunity.

On March 2, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the closure of all crossings into Gaza, triggering an unprecedented collapse of essential services. After sustained international pressure, Israeli authorities permitted a limited number of aid trucks to enter Gaza, but only for the WFP. Other UN agencies remain largely sidelined.

Despite the restricted entry of food aid, humanitarian conditions on the ground have continued to deteriorate. Charitable kitchens remain shuttered, bakeries are inoperable, and skyrocketing food prices have made the few available goods inaccessible to most families. Aid workers report a sharp rise in hunger and malnutrition.

UN agencies have condemned the Israeli-controlled aid mechanism, warning that it exposes humanitarian workers and drivers to serious risk. In a joint statement, they called for the immediate and full reopening of all border crossings and demanded the entry of at least 1,000 aid trucks per day to meet basic food and medical needs.

The UN has also rejected Israeli plans to replace the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) with the recently established “Gaza Foundation,” which was reportedly created with backing from Israeli and US officials. Humanitarian groups view this move as a politically motivated effort to undermine UN operations and divert aid distribution to an unproven and untrusted entity.

In a statement from its headquarters in Amman, Jordan, UNRWA said it currently holds enough supplies for over 200,000 people for one month—including food parcels, flour, hygiene kits, blankets, and medications—just a three-hour drive from Gaza. It emphasized that the only barrier preventing this life-saving aid from reaching Palestinians is the IOF-imposed blockade.

UNRWA urged the international community to intervene, stressing that the scale of humanitarian need in Gaza demands immediate action and sustained, unimpeded access to aid. “Lives are at stake, and time is running out,” the agency warned.

Barcelona severs ties with Israeli government over Gaza genocide, Hamas urges global boycott

Saturday 31-May-2025

MADRID, (PIC)

The city of Barcelona has announced it is cutting official ties with the Israeli government and suspending its long-standing friendship agreement with Tel Aviv, in protest at the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, praised the move and called on governments and cities worldwide to isolate Israel and hold it accountable for committing crimes of mass killing and starvation in the Gaza Strip.

The decision, adopted Friday by the Barcelona City Council, severs all institutional relations with the Israeli government and suspends the city’s 1998 friendship agreement with Tel Aviv-Yafo “until international law is respected and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people are guaranteed.”

The resolution includes roughly 20 points and was supported by the ruling Socialist Party along with several left-wing and pro-independence parties. It specifically targets “the current Israeli government,” suspending official ties with Tel Aviv and denouncing Israel’s actions as incompatible with international norms and human rights.

Barcelona’s Socialist mayor, Jaume Collboni, explained the rationale behind the decision, saying, “The level of suffering and death witnessed in Gaza over the past year and a half, in addition to the repeated attacks carried out by the Israeli government in recent weeks, make any relationship between the two cities untenable.”

Among other provisions in the resolution—some of which extend beyond the city’s jurisdiction—the Barcelona Exhibition Board has been asked not to host pavilions representing the Israeli government, or companies in the arms industry or any sector “that benefits from genocide, occupation, apartheid, and colonialism against the Palestinian people.”

Hamas welcomed the decision, issuing a statement on Saturday that read: “We appreciate the Barcelona City Council’s decision to sever ties with the Zionist occupation government and suspend the friendship agreement with the occupying city of Tel Aviv, in solidarity with our Palestinian people who are subjected to a brutal war of extermination.”

The statement urged cities and countries across the globe to “activate the boycott of Israel, isolate it, and hold it accountable for its massacres and the crime of starvation against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” calling the move a step toward justice and a victory for humanity.

This is not the first time Barcelona has taken such a stance. The city previously suspended its relationship with Israel in November 2023 and earlier in February of that year, prior to the current phase of the genocide.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
